Our software is an implementation of, and addition to, the standard BIM software package Autodesk Revit. Developed with the BIM philosophy in mind, it’s a complete and consistent package that stays close to the core of Revit. This allows you to work in a flexible manner in Revit adjusted to your companies’ needs.
A BIM object is a combination of detailed information that defines a product and creates a geometry that represents the product’s physical characteristics. The object can be positioned or behaves in exactly the same way as the product itself would in a physical reality. There are objects that have fixed geometrical shapes such as windows and doors, but also objects that do not have a fixed shape or size such as carpets, and walls.
The Witas Localiser library, a collection of BIM objects, has been around for a while now and has been loved by its users. Given it’s expansive character, to fulfill the needs of every user, it became apparent that a selection tool would enhance Witas’ clients user experience. The Selector allows you to navigate through the library with a breeze and choose the right objects for you current project without any hassle.

The Selector allows you to quickly and accurately choose the right BIM object from the Witas Localiser library. It immediately integrates the object in your Revit project. Fast and easy. No time lost outside the Revit software, more time to efficiently enjoy Witas’ Revit extensions.
The generic Witas Localiser library consists of generic parametric components that make optimal use of the intrinsic strength of Revit to fully describe objects using only a few parameters. It’s highly elaborate already and still expanding. The concept of “all-in-one-families” is loved by the users.
Manufacturers gradually step into the world of BIM. Through our partner ThorbiQ they can get their products into manufacturer-specific Revit families that are both technically and visually advanced.
It’s a toolbar. And it contains lots of tools to automate/optimize certain processes in Revit. You’ll love it.
Out of the box Revit is nice, but using a Witas template is nicer. We offer an Architectural Template which is suitable for the design of a basic architectural model (suitable to calculate heat losses) and an Engineering Template, built with the intention to facilitate the modeling of different engineering disciplines within the model. In addition there are specific working methodologies for processing. Examples include visualizing escape zones, fire compartmentalizing, ventilation zones, and so much more.
It’s no coincidence that BIM is hot, it’s the future of building. If you’re not convinced yet, then finishing this story will most certainly do the trick.
Imagine a time when engineers had to go through 3 stages of building up a model. They started with a concept, started over for generic representation of this concept, and then did the same thing all over again for the specific design in the execution phase. By then, the engineer was tired of it all.
An engineer builds up a model of a building, but doesn’t care about specifics yet. The building should contain doors here, and windows there. This room needs airconditioning and that one a lot of light. Simply get all the conceptual building blocks from the libraries, through the Selector and keep building.
Okay. The concept is loved by the client. Let’s go and switch the model to a more generic one. We want big square windows, revolving doors and an airconditioner from manufacturing brand X. Get the generic blocks from the libraries through the Selector and simply replace the conceptual ones with the generic objects by filling in the parameters with generic data from your technical sheet.
The client is excited about the generic model, lets get into specifics now, he wants results fast. No problem, we simply replace the generic objects with specific objects from certain manufacturing brands. When we finish, we have a complete model, that is an exact representation of what the actual building will be.
